Highway Humor?
By: Alex Scofield
Does a daily commute on the Interstate always have to be monotonous? The Washington Post’s Click & Clack car care column receives an idea for some comic relief on the highway:
I was thinking about affixing a coffee mug onto the roof right above the driver’s seat, as if I forgot my morning coffee. I think it would be funny to see me driving down the highway, 70 mph, with my forgotten drink clinging to the roof of my car.
Maybe you’re amused, maybe you aren’t. But you have to admit, it would give other drivers something interesting to text about as they’re doing 70 mph in the next lane.

Reminds of a Johnny Knoxville skit where he put a baby basket on the roof of his car and drove off.

I know somebody who used to do it with her keys or wallet, but unfortunately, they were never fastened to the car roof.

I’ll admit, I’m the worse texter. We do a lot of texting related to do my day job and it spread like a virus to the rest of my life. But I swear, I don’t text and drive….unless I’m at a stoplight.
