The Primal Blueprint and Coffee
In addition to coffee, two of my biggest interests are fitness and nutrition. One book I just finished reading is about evolutionary fitness and nutrition. Can one go caveman and still drink coffee?

The Primal Blueprint: Reprogram Your Genes for Effortless Weight Loss, Vibrant Health, and Boundless Energy
The Primal Blueprint: Reprogram Your Genes for Effortless Weight Loss, Vibrant Health, and Boundless Energy by Mark Sisson asks us to avoid grains and load up on the plants. Instead of wasting away on a treadmill, The Primal Blueprint suggests we lift weights, walk and occasionally sprint. But can I drink coffee? An earlier book on evolutionary fitness called NeanderThin put coffee on the NO list and referred it as a “burnt berry“. Ouch!
The Primal Blueprint is kinder to coffee.
Coffee is fine in moderation, as long as you avoid using caffeine as a crutch to raise energy levels.
The book goes on to discuss how studies are mixed on the health benefits, but the author feels confident that a cup or two a day won’t hurt. Works for me.

Thinking about giving the Primal diet a shot and glad to read this about coffee. I only drink two cups a day but I LOVE them.
