A Sign of True Espresso Love
I’ve probably pulled close to 5,000 shots of espresso at home. What happened Saturday has never happened before. After finishing my espresso, I picked up the demitasse, looked inside and saw a heart. Some people see Jesus in a grilled cheese sandwich, I found a heart staring back at me from my empty espresso cup. This isn’t Coffee Tasseography, which involves reading coffee grounds, but perhaps a sign of true espresso love?
When I mentioned how much I loved Velton’s Bonsai Blend espresso, I had no idea it was a reciprocal relationship. ![]()

Hmm..not sure that I would have identified it as a heart. But just as with clouds, I think you see what you want to see

Before I raced off to grab my camera, I asked the person next to me if she saw anything. The response was ‘heart’.

I love this! I’m a little envious as the Bonsai Blend has never thrown a heart my way (except in latte form, which just isn’t the same), but I’m still glad to see it throwing some love around out there.

Just wondering how much it costs per cup to make expresso juice at home with good coffee and filtered water. How much for a cup of normal coffee with good cofee? Thanks

Espresso varies wildly. Someday I’ll do a post to approximate.
Regular coffee can be quite cheap. I home roasted some amazing Kenyan and it came to 14 cents a cup.

Ummmm yeah, I suppose it is more clear than the Jesus that someone in upstate New York saw in their coffee cup earlier this year.
