Coffee Hero

From a “Hints from Heloise” reader comes this tip on using paper coffee filters for shrimp shells.  It sounds like a nice touch for the next cocktail party you host.  However, we at Coffee Hero do not advocate this for those of you who use gold-tone permanent coffee filters.

Dear Heloise: I have found that clean paper coffee filters make great “bowls” to hold the shells when eating shrimp. I give each person his or her own filter, and this makes the cleanup oh so quick and easy. I put the filters in a plastic bag from a newspaper and freeze until trash day. — Ruth S., Rockport, Texas
