Is the Robusta bean inherently inferior to the Arabica bean? It was time for me to make up my own mind.
My safety net is gone. Last week, I ground and brewed the last of the professionally-roasted coffee beans in my home. Waiting in the on-deck circle are five pound-bags of green, unroasted beans.
This past weekend, my longtime daily ritual of the morning coffee and newspaper came to an end. Last Saturday’s Boston Globe will almost certainly be the final hard-copy newspaper ever delivered to my home.

Most grade-schoolers have more than a month to go before school’s out, but graduation season is already underway for college seniors. (Middle school and high school drag on; college is over in a flash. Where is the justice here??)
